We are delighted to share that last year we raised £691 for York Against Cancer through a range of fundraising activities, including bake sales, parkruns, staff dress-up days, and raffles.
York Against Cancer was selected as one of ELOVATE’s charity partners for 2025 by our staff in recognition of the vital work the charity does to support people affected by cancer across our local community.
Charlotte, the External Relations Manager at York Against Cancer, visited ELOVATE to collect our donation and to tell us more about the charity and how the funds will be used.
The charity makes a real difference through a wide range of initiatives, including patient support services, the operation of the Leveson Centre, and a Mobile Chemotherapy Unit that brings treatment closer to patients in local communities. York Against Cancer also supports education and research by funding projects at the Jack Birch Unit at the University of York, including specialist equipment such as a surgical robot, and by providing school resources focused on cancer prevention.
The charity ensures that vital support and information are available when and where they are needed most. Through practical assistance, emotional care, and innovative projects, York Against Cancer has raised over £20 million to support patients, families, and life-changing local initiatives — and ELOVATE is proud to have played a part in this important work.
